45mm Weber On An 1100 Engine..Is It Safe ?

Is this safe for the engine ?

You could but realy chock it down..you would be better of with a 40

I have a 45 dellorto on a stock 1100 with 34mm chokes. Runs well, I can't complain. Much better than the single HS2 I had before! nice and loud too :lol:

But yeah, 40 is better. I only bought a 45 cause am planning on going 1275 (or 1360) later on anyway, plus it was cheap :lol: )

Yer you can do a 45 as he has but the 40 will be better unless you plan to go 1275 as 68delux has :wink:

A 45 is fine on a 1098, as long as chokes are no bigger than 34mm. 32 or 33 would be better for the street..

No, only the jets might need to change. I think it's already got 34mm chokes in it. I'd try it how it is first.... :wink:

Yeah I would go 32 or 33 chokes but just can't be bothered! No more messing around with Lillee's current engine setup, not esp if I have to change to 36mm chokes when I build the new engine... too much money on chokes and jets! :shock:

Weber jets are pretty easy, any place that has a dyno should have them.
Jets will cost you probably $10 each for main jets, $15-20 for air correctors.
These prices are guesses, based on what Dellorto jets (similar) cost me. :wink:
Carburettor Service Co in Burwood, Sydney carry a pretty big range for Weber.
