Could someone please put together a list of the different MINIs available in Australia. eg. R53, R56 and what makes them different, specs and pics.

I might go to some effort and do pics later, but for now:

R50: MINI Cooper (2001–2006): Gen 1 new mini with chrysler engine NA
The cheapest and most basic mini you could get your hands on.

R52: MINI Cabrio (2004–2008): Gen 1 new mini with chrysler engine. Available in cooper and cooper s spec.

R53: MINI Cooper S (2001–2006): Gen 1 new mini with chrysler engine SC
As per base cooper but with supercharges engine, bigger wheels, harder suspension and leather interior.

R55: MINI Clubman and D (2007–present): Gen 2 mini with pugeot engine both NA and turbo variants.

R56: MINI Cooper S (2007–present): Gen 2 mini with pugeot engine turbo (r56 is also possibly the base cooper but I'm not sure)

R57: MINI Convertible (2009–present): Gen 2 mini with pugeot engine both NA and Turbo

R60: MINI Countryman (2010-present)
