so started off a 4efte 'plan' a few years ago and the original body got stolen.
so bought a new body and have been plodding away.
i have learnt not to use mates mates to do work. it takes far too long and has cost me far too much.

now planning on getting married and fear if i don't get it on the road soon it'll never get done.


here's a list of things that i think need to be done prior to running.
any other thoughts?

lower steering column
bonnet pins
fuel lines
filler neck
water lines (w2a and engine radiator under rear)
sheet metal dash
heater for demist
wiring car
computer
tuning
glass in
weld and polish w2a (free by plazmaman)
calibrate speedo
brakes (recondition)
driveshafts
brake lines
battery box, battery
small welding on grille
insurance
rego
engineering

yeah hopefully most of the big work done.

does the list at the top look like everything i'd need to do to get it on the road?
what am i forgetting (i'm sure there's plenty)

The list sounds about right for a basic list... Just things like brakes for instance can get out of hand, if you need new lines/ hoses/ wheel bearings/ cvs all the little things add up and make a simple brake point way bigger and more expensive than first thought

I spoke to my mate who is also doing a conversion at the moment and showed him your list, and he said this was what you will find is going to be the biggest hassle with getting it done.............
