When I had the front beaver panel replaced they have replaced it with a Rover panel. I have addressed this issue before but couldn't fully explain it without photos....refer attached. Any of you learned people know the parts that i need to buy? There would be a spacer between the frame and something that fills the whole on the front panel whilst also securing the subframe to it.

The Rovers have a rubber mount there.
Best thing you can do on your 850 is get a solid steel or alloy spacer machined up to fit in.

Maybe those things fit to the later subframe?
On yours, I'd either turn something up, or weld a washer in the hole, then put a spacer behind it.

sorry i do not understand, correct me if i am wrong but the hole is where the caster arm pokes through yes? and the little hole you can see below is where the subframe mounts too, and you have only replaced the outer beever panel (painted section) or have you replaced the front apran assembly ?

Can someone do me a favour. I need a photo of a standard roundnose front subframe mount setup. I looked at SG's yesterday and his appears to be the same as mine.

Photo will need to be taken from inside the engine bay down towards where the subframe mounts to the body......and post it up.

whitestriped63, I owe you one, if you han't asked for photos, I wouldn't have taken these and realised that I'd forgotten to do up the front bolts on my S after I put it together.... nice work :D

basically, it looks like you're missing the small panel that goes from the top of the beaver (tee hee hee ) panel to the bottom of it, which the subframe bolts to
