Yes deff run a main strap if not a steel cap, i am runnign a Graham Russel one in mine with studs instead of bolts and its great, ringing the block and head would be ok but bit of money and i am not sure if there is a gasket to suit, you can buy a reinforced head gasket with double fire control on the bores where you have to machine the block to suit sort of ringing but about $200 not cheap.
yeah i would also clean up rods and crank make it all nice and strong

With the torque you're gonna get with that sort of boost, you definiately need to try and hold that crank in place.

I'd peen the rods, but not sure if cryo is worth it.

Linebore mains
Check height of deck to crank each end
Machine block deck as necessary
Close and hone rods
New bolts for everything
Main Caps
Balance crank assembly
Crack test crank
Check stroke on each journal
Check rods for twist and bend
Check rod centres for length
Check gudgeon centre to piston crown height
Magnaflux and shot peen rods
Balance rods
Find a bloody good machine shop to do all the above.

And that's just the block assembly. Overkill? Possibly but it will live and be a good motor. My point is that the motor will only be as good as the amount of money you spend on it. The top end requires more money again. I used to presume pistons were all made the same until I started to run karts. I now know they aren't.

I did most of the above, plus

Crank Nitriding (or maybe tuftriding, cant remember.. the one you can do to EN16T ...)
Align-bored the block (oh, you called it Line-bored mains... oops)
Check cam tunnel for straightness
Torque plate honed (yea, i know it doesnt make a lot of difference, but hey, while it was in there.....)
Crank balanced with Clutch assembly and piston wieghts (Dynamic Balancing)

Basically, a strong street build... a'la street machine....

Not cheap.... wont get much change from $1500 JUST more machining !!

Hypatecs would be my choice.
Crown is thick, can be machined to deeper dish if you want.

11 stud head would also be a good one?
new miniworld has a turbo mini in it using 16 PSI on metro pistons that have been dished out

Hepolites (for 1275s) are not as strong as Hypatecs- they have oil drain slots, the Hypatecs are drilled holes instead.
And the Hypatecs are way cheaper too. 8)
