Hey,

I have been told that my wheels on my clubbie are minilites but I am not too sure, I haven't got a digi camera yet so could someone post pics of some so I can find out!
That would be fantastic!

There's a fair few minilite clones around.

I think there is an aussie wheel company called Performance who do rim called 'superlites' that are a clone. Has anybody used these? What do they go like?

I'm going ahead with the Honda Discs so I need to upgrade from my 10" steels. Dr Mini reckons the 12" with low profile are the go because you can leave the discs out at 9". Anybody got an opinion on this? What do 12" wheels look like? I don't really wanna give up the steallies cause I like the classic look but oh well.

Dewey

Dewey,
Performance 12x5s look pretty much like a Minilite. They seem well made, only thing I don't like is, the wheel nuts (tapered) go straight into the alloy without any inserts.

I've emailed Mini_Mad, maybe he can post me back some pics he took....

You can see several Mini wheels on Matts page

http://www.miniman.com.au/wheel.htm

Contessas and superlites, he used to have a pic of a Minilite, but guess he took it off....

I have Contessa's on mine, but the "S" Offset ones - I dont need flares !! (woopie!)

Cheers
J

You guys have a Mini Club in Townsvile? Whats the go with that? How many members do you guys have? Where abouts is this British Day being held? Any undercover areas to display cars, or is it out in the open?

We are sorta The Queensland Mini Owners Club with a Nth Qld rep.... we have a few members here in Tsv but getting them to come together is the hard bit. But usually all british day brings them out. Its held at the Cathedral School on Ross River Road from about 9am - 3pm. We park our mini under the shade of the big trees. If you want more details I can give you our Nth Qld rep number.

Nah thats ok, Im already a member of Queensland Mini Owners Club. I have a bit of a complex about showing the car when its not undercover and unfenced, I dont trust the weather or mums pushing kids around in prams!!!!!! We dont have hardly any decent minis up here, they are all crap tins.
