I worked out how to uplaod a video to you tube, so here`s the link to one of my small bore (998cc) mini motors with Twin cam 8v cyl head, running on a single SU carb & a std mini distributor, running on the floor in the shed

2nd start after fixing a little oil leak & swapping carb needle

:-)

ok , ok, maybe I have a bit too much cam over lap ,, but hey? it screams :-)

can`t wait to get it into the road mini now :-) :-) :-) ;-)

Nice job Matt :D

Now get your finger out and get it in the "S" and drive it to the dyno.
After you have done that you can prove the bhp to all that doubt!
After that and since you have built a few now and gained some experience  you may start mine and I want a lot of Gee-Gee's so buy some hay and some carrot's :D

hee hee,,, yeah ian does check in here from time to time & i`m sure he spotted it :-)

I told him his blockis almost cooled enough to touch now :-)

we`re injecting the small bore donk now,,, we had the SU working great "except" for around corners,,, the plenum pools with fuel & then when cornering it sweeps up & spashes up into the end ports (i thought it might) so i`m sticking the quad throttle bodies , injectors & computer onto it now :-)

then we will have another play with the cam(s) timing & get the lobe centre angle back to being a bit closer together :-)

The turbo moke is also running far better & my Adaptronic guru is back from holidays in Thailand now so we should have it sorted even better again next week (hopefully)
