Hi All, had a promising talk with Pulse, and they used the words "substantially more" as far as the power I should get out of it. But I will wait and see (I've been disappointed before), I'll give em a ring on Friday and see what's what.

Dan I think you are right as miine has standard internals so I am not going to go for glory just to end up with a busted engine. Josh, your's has forgies doesn't it?

Also Sam, maybe give a description of your beast and also what boost are you running to get 148kW? I'm thinking of running 23 psi and 225fwkW (yes I am kidding I just always wanted to make some ridiculous power output prediction).

Trick, yeah I think Cannonball Run style, we meet in Brisbane, first to the steps of the Melbourne Town Hall, wins! But seriously, Sydney is probably the most central for people on the Eastern Seaboard.

Also Josh you saw my post about not getting there till around lunchtime as I have to drive up from Canberra, grab car and then haul from Menai to Castle Hill (72km through Syd!).

Cheers

Hey guys. Update. Centre contact in dist cap was missing, probable reason for drop in power. Spark was jumping from lead connection to rotor button! DH from XYZ Pty Ltd who stated that it was my TPS obviously didn't even remove dist cap to check. Anyway Pulse are now searching to get a new cap (luckily one in Syd) by today and have it all up and running by tonight. However, I think this is unlikely and so there is a good chance I won't make the dyno day tomorrow, as I won't drive up unless Phil can guarantee that it will be ready by the time I turn up at 10 on Sat. Plus I don't want them to rush it. Fk sht bgr fk! I think I am cursed never to attend and Ausmini dyno day with the 4efte!

Cheers

Matt,

No! Stay positive - that is a good outcome. At least now you know what the problem is and a remedy is already in place! Also - you know XYZ are a bunch or @ss-bandits and never to take your Mini there again.

Regards the run - Sydney it is. We could all stay at Josh's place for a week or two and drink all his beer then head out to Wakefield. :D

bzchi - sounds like a really nice, well thought out set up!

Dan - you're a funny guy (Tricky secretly orders new number plates as he doesnt want to miss out on the added performance they will bring  )

Sad to hear Matt, don't worry, if they can guarantee it up and running by then there is a spot on the dyno for you - the hybrids wont be running until after 3pm anyway :) there is still hope!

You guys are welcome to come up/down - bring on wakefield :)

*goes and gets new plates*

Oh well guys definitely not coming, they ordered the cap but it won't be turning up till Monday. I am pretty pissed off. The strong impression is that they really only started tuning it yesterday, and while yes the had to take the headers off (I am still a bit dubious), and the put on Profec B (good but not what I asked for), they really didn't shake a leg. I am too nice I should of gone off my nut last week. Oh well guys until next year.

Cheers

M
