Ok, I have had another read through this thread and now I have a few more questions :)
1. What turbo are you using? Can you give us some info on it as well
2. Is the turbo the right size? would you go bigger or smaller?
3. Did you get any problems with blow by? or do you need to be running higher pressures for that...
4. Where did you plumb the oil return line to?
5. Does the engine overheat now?

1. Garrett T2 - but it has been hi-flowed.
2. Yep, wouldnt change it (maybe, I would go for a similar turbo, but ball bearing next)
3. Nope, what do you mean by blow by (sorry, different people different meanings)
4. Into the old mechanical fuel pump hole. Ben made a plate and pipe that goes parallel to the motor and the hose goes onto that.
5. Ive given up trying to work out what friggin temp its running at.
Three people measured, three different temps.... Its very weird ... but I have a new radiator to throw in... and I am running an extra radiator core.
It was showing 85 deg C and up to 105deg C when in heavy traffic... but looks like the guage is reading 10-15 deg high.

Ok, finally the k-lines are in :)

GR got them done quickly... I took my time taking off the head lol

Now, the Mk1 Cooper S valves are being machined down and then will re-assemble.

The car has been in my mates psuedo workshop a few weeks.
New floors in, new sills, body being worked on, A panels still to go and boot work... then bog, sand, sand, sand, skim, sand, prime and paint...

Hopefully not too long now.

Pete.

Ok, time for an update.

So, the head was k-lined and Mk1 S valves put in last.
The car was stripped, cut back, all rust cut out. Floors, sills, a panels, boot, some roof work, front back, sides... almost everywhere!!!! it was then repaired, skimmed, sanded, skimmed, sanded, sanded SANDED I friggin hate sanding now!!!!
High fill primer (2k) put on most of it last weekend and I started cutting that back...

When I finish sanding (this weekend) then it goes off to the painter :) woohoo!
Got new seats ready, and some other suprises for when its done.

Here's a progress shot... moved her outside to sand as it was getting stuffy :D

Just knock down a few more V's.....That'l get the energy levels back up and you wont feel any pain until the suger hit dies........ Then whack a few more v's down and problem fixed again.

Yeah, plenty of V's going down :)

Ok, more updates, cant keep myself focused on one things at a time.
Sold the Holley Blue elec fuel pump (brand spanker) and regulator to an ausmini member (no names, not sure if its a secret project)
So I got myself the Malpassi rising rate regulator and EFI tank and pump.

Ben will come over and help change the lines, run a return line to sort out any leaning out issues I had... so should be ok.

Going to be sanding my brains out tomorrow ALL day to finish... then painting (got delayed today)
If anyone is free and wants to come help... let me know!

Pete

Howdy,

Ok, so we had a bit of trouble on the roof, Hi Fill wouldnt sit flat... so rubbed it all back, fixed the roof and threw on some high quality high fill, hardener and thinners to grab well.
That settled and we put on the guide coat for the final rub back.
More pics tonight, will be on the trailer and painting starts tomorrow.
