Love the number plate!

My mate has a van for sale, would the longer wheel base be better for this conversion / racing?

thanks

Yep, make a big difference to high speed stability, even if it 'only' has a 50mm increase in wheelbase.

Actually its closer to 100mm according to the info I have:

saloon wheelbase: 2036mm
Van/estate/pick-up wheelbase: 2134mm

Interestingly it also states that the rubber cone saloon weighs more than the van; 638kg(saloon) versus 621.5kg (van) :D

I find that hard to believe (I know that's what it says in your books) but I just see more metal and stuff in a van :?

From the seats back there's only single skins in a van and no trim whereas the sedan has extra panels , soundproofing , rear seat and other stuff .
