Just make sure the passenger cell is built like a nuclear bomb shelter though

what, made out of reinforced concrete and underground??????

Probably be the safest

Well with that much power in such a short wheelbase , if the passenger cell isn't strong enough he will be underground with concrete above ...

Just remember , 5 years ago anyone talking about putting a 200 horsepower starlet engine in a mini would have been ridiculed .

I cannot see ANY practical or non-practical reason to put three engines in. Two - ok.. three - waste of money, time and a Mini. Go and get a Kenworth if you want 6 wheels and 700hp

ummm Kenworth you say 6 wheels + 700hp + upwards of 6000 kg

I want to do 6 wheels + 700hp + less than 1200 kg and get it past cams

The centre set of wheels will fit 2.5 inches infront of the rear set and 2.5 inches behind the door

I guess I just can't understand why? :? For any purpose really... other than 'Hey, look... you looking... three engines 8)' Your money would be better spent on a twin engine setup IMHO. Three engines will make it handle like a b!tch if you're planning on any form of motorsport... the only thing I can think of that it would be any practical use is a tow truck!

I'm not purposely trying to squish your idea, I'm all for new things  It's just I really can't see the benefit of spending all that money for something that would be better suited to a stand at autosalon than the road :)

<EDIT> <EDIT again, too many 2.0L VTEC possibilities :P> Geez, some nuts are pushing over 300kw out of the poor B16! :o

If you run a tape measure over it I think you will find you will be flat out having an occupant compartment of useable size.

Vans/utes are only 50mm longer than the standard sedan - that is not a lot of room to do what you want to do.

But hey, whatever floats your boat...................

IMHO i love this ute, one of my favourite mini's. but i know how hard it was to get 2 engines to work. but have a look for yourself.
