Basically you get a passenger side lock and pull it apart.
Reverse the internal locking mechanism and put back together with duct tape.
Drill a whole in door so that open/close lever can actuate.
Screw lock back into door.
These screws will hold both sides of lock mechanism together.
With the passenger door just drill a hole the same location as the drivers door.
Then follow standard instructions to fit central locking.
N.B. It is advisable to hide the remote control relay and fuse either under the bonnet or in the boot incase the control relay mulfunctions. That way you can run power direct to the door in an emergency to open it

Not with the early model door locks as l am aware of.
When l installed central locking into a clubman l used to have, l had the option of using the key to lock/unlock. Clubman doors are easier to install central locking

i don't quite understand.
where is the locking mechanism now? is there still one where it used to be?
are u able to write the whole thing up in step by step detailed instructions for the dumb like... well me :oops:


i think u'd help alot of people with ur central locking gismo :wink:
