Problem can't remove the actual windscreent wiper bar, can I take the cable out of the motor so that I can give it the once over. Had a look the other day looked a little complex. Any ideas. I suppose I could drill the nuts holding the actuating shafts...

When you unbolt the motor from the firewall, can the cable coming out the top (going to the wiper blades) be removed? Or do the wiper blades have to be taken off aswell?

honk you can disassemble the motor mechanism and remove the cable and subsequently the motor mechanism. Or you can under the nuts that secure the stalks under the wipes and the beam underneath should fall away. This is easier than disassembling the motor mechanism.

There is a nut (knurlled?) holding the tube containing the cable to the motor -undo that. Then undo the screws holding the cover on and take it off - under neath you will see a wheel with a pin near the edge and hooked over that pin is a bar that has the cable attached to it - just lift that bar off the pin and you should be able to lift the motor out.

That bar thing that David (wombat) is talking about will have a small circlip retaining it, rip that off & job done

:-) easy-peasy
