it's probably by no means certain that this will be what it looks like when it hits the showrooms, but what they've done to the grille and lights looks odd. makes the thing look like it's scared of something....

lol... I was gonna say it looks really sad, like it's so depressed about being excessively obese, and is about to stuff another chocolate cake (or small mammal) into it's mouth, but scared may be closer to the mark

interesting little review of the new Fiat 500 in the weekend australian a couple of weeks ago -

to quote one part

"The 500 traces the same path as the new Mini and Volkswagen Beetle in reworking an automotive pinup. However, while the originals broke new ground in car design, none of the revivals can claim to be innovative."

and another, which says a lot to me

"The 500, Mini and Beetle were once cheap enough to be a first foray into motoring, and they became as common as cat's eyes"

looking at that article again - twin turbo 5 series - fwoar :D

I reckon it's funny how BMW ads on SBS promote how their cars are rear wheel drive for stability etc. - they're almost saying "<cough> we don't like to mention that other car we make..."

wooo, that's the M5 motor..... I'd buy an M5 if I won big on tattslotto.... would be good for towing the brick around, would be a hard choice deciding which brick to tow to the next race, but I think I'd decide eventually

what did you expect?? top of the line luxury 5 series BMW with a formula 1 motor

I thought they were more than $240K new... I thought closer to $260-270K... maybe that's with the options I'd want

the new M3 has a simmilar engine, a V8 though...putting out ~400bhp

I went for a spin in a V10 M5 a few months back in Ireland. A friend of my cousin-in-laws took me for a spin in this up a road he knows well and it blew my mind.
I looked over at one point to see 240ks on the speedo, on a twisty irish B road, potholes and all!.

The V10 engine sounds fantastic, as close to being in a ferrari as i am ever likely to get. And the active seats sound like total wank factor till the grab you in every corner and stop your face from hitting the side windows.

Anyway, if I won tatts I'd be straight down to BMW to get one. Apparently thats what you need to get one as they struggle to keep under 18 litres per 100ks most of the time.

Cheers

Madmorrie
