speaking of BMW this is supposed to be a bmw m5 v10 with twin turbos....??

http://www.motorauthority.com/wp-conten ... t_m502.jpg

i thought that the closer to the manifold to easier it is to turn the turbine and it would also spin faster than having it further back

I have heard of that idea with the street rod boys, apparantly the latest craze in USof A (and heading down under soon) the idea is that people following see the turbo's glowing and get all excited, doesn't turn me on, (if I was into wank I'd just put red neons under the back and save $10,000) does help performance a bit but the
l a g is huge, usually only put them on big cube motors where they have enough grunt anyway

Masses of lost energy, and dont mention the increase in lag ("Tricky, I told you not to mention that!!")

Oops, sorry! :D

Cheers,

You would get an awesome *WHOOOSH* from the blow off valve with all that stored air...

10 outta 10 for efficient use of space however..

Saying that, some front mount intercooler packages would have capacities that would be larger than this pipe, and they don't complain..

I've seen a big rear mount turbo in action, and it was more than a second quicker down 1/4 mile than with the 2 small front mounted turbos it replaced.... low 11 seconds instead of 12.5.... I just wish there were photos of it!
