Err no!!!

Its front wheel drive.

That is a pic of the passenger side, the engine is in front of the caliper (i.e. its a leading caliper, like the Mini). Have a look, you can see the driveshaft and the gearbox casing.

Therefore direction of rotation as you are looking at it is counter-clockwise!

So therefore, exactly like Tony's, and that pic of the Lambo!

Barbie came home on Saturday for a brief spell, so we could do some more work on her.

Still to be done is the alternator, gear shift linkages, gear shifter mount, and guard cutting for the 13 x 7's. As well is the electrical etc, but this will be outsourced to an auto electrician. So, still a fair bit of work, but not daunting.

I dropped into the fabricators today, to see whether they had finished the dump pipe for Barbie. Its mostly done, with just one more 45 degree bend to go on, the mounting flange and the wastegate pipe - should be fully completed by Thursday or Friday.

Some pics.........

Correct way for the TAROX brakes:

Q. Which way should the grooves face on a grooved/grooved & drilled disc?
A: In the case of the G88 and Sport Japan discs the grooves should radiate outwards towards the rear of the car. A C83 disc should run in the opposite direction.

Thats gonna be a real nice dump pipe there. Similar to what I have in mind.
Are you going to try to extend a divider into the turbo side of the flange for better flow?

Some examples below.

Neat and not too hard to do.

Right most option best of these obviously.

Just a quick one, what are you making your dump pipe from, just exhaust tube?

Hi Morrie,

Thanks. The wastegate pipe will join up with the dump pipe proper just before the next 45 degree bend is welded on, so at the very end of the large pipe as you see it. They say try and make the wastegate pipe about 18 inches long before joining into the main exhaust stream.

Miniboy - the exhaust is made out of mild steel tubing, mandrel bent. Its the standard pipe that exhaust shops would use.

Well, two months have passed and this thing needs to be finished by Christmas. Any progress to report Lord Treloar?

Hi JC,

Well at the moment, this is where Tony (and Barbie) stand:

1. Subframe - check
2. Alternator mounts - to be done
3. Shifter mechanism - to be done
4. Shifter linkages - to be done
5. Electrical - to be done
6. Cooling - to be done
7. Brakes - check
8. Wheels and Tyres - check
9. Body - check
10. Interior - check
11. FMIC - check
12. FMIC mounts - to be done
13. Instruments and dash - check
14. Seat mounts - check
15. Fuel system - to be done
16. Dump Pipe - check
17. Exhaust System - to be done
18. Engineer sign-off - to be done
19. Rego - to be done

Thats about it (a few minor things left off the list like throttle cable) but that's the bulk of it.

Tony needs to pull his finger out eh?

Cheers,
Tricky
