The Perry style LCB is still available, not sure if it's made by Perry but otherwise the same (double slip joint half way down).

Also bear in mind LCBs often don't fit if you have rubber cross uni joints

They sound like they could be the one's I had.. 'Wildcat' make them now. I really hate the join in the middle, not to bad to get them on but dont think you're going to get them off in a hurry! :P

And watch out for the uni thing too.. I put them on and took it for a spin. It went something like BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!! T'was a biatch to fix...

I bought myself a spare set of 'wildcats' a while ago.

I think that they are possibly NLA.

I'm not sure what LCB I have in my car atm. Once upon a time the bottem and top could come appart but they are seized together now. So I take them out or put them in after the enignes out or before I put the engine in. The Wildcats centre branch turns downwards imidiately whereas the set in my car, the centre branch (from the head) goes out a bit before turning downwards. The set In my car did clear a HS4 SU cut off manifold. Ands cleared the rubber unis in the Mini too.

Well brickworx is probably your best bet for 2nd hand stuff.

Or this, although probably a little expensive, and doesn't come with a carby, but is brand new.

Try getting a second hand Rover Metro ally manifold with an HS4. A few years ago you could get one for $20. They fitted fine on my 1100 with an old Perry manifold.

Cheers, Ian

Are all the extractors basically the same in terms of performance? Which would be the best for my 1100 and which one sounds better LCB or 3-1. Does anyone know if its worth buying second hand extractors from brikworx or new ones from minisport?

A nice breatheing and free revving (if tuned properly of course) 1100.

not a 1098, but our 1293 sounds real nice with a Perry 3-1 extractor, 1-3/4 pipe and a Lukey on the end. 8)
It has the classic A series bark. :D

Lukey is a brand of zorst. Carline etc should stock lukey mufflers. Don't know the price to compare, sorry.

My Mini's got a Lukey muffler. It sounds alright I guess. Dunno how much they cost though, my Mini came with it.

Doesn't sounds as good as the yellow Mini, but it's hard to compare because that car has a lumpy cam which seems to change the exhasut sound heavily I think.
