I once put a new head gasket in a 998 engine. When I filled the radiator cololant was really pissing down the front of the block. A bit of gumleaf had lodged between the head gasket and block. :oops:

The head boomeranged and the block was damaged too. So I just fitted another 2nd hand 998.

ha ha, that is funny! Maybe you could rationalise to just one size of engine around the house? A good excuse to go out and buy more 1275s!
