i have the RE pistons in my 1360, the rings supplied had no backclearance, GR said this is WAD

My 1360 Hypatecs look like that too, but remember the piston diameter there is a lot less than at the skirt, so when fitted there is a (little) bit of clearance. :D

hey guys, just changed the head on my sisters mini and noticed that it has 20 thou oversized pistons, its a 850 so what size would it be now?
also i've been offerd some free hepolite pistons for a 1275 they are 30 thou over, what would that bring the 1275 upto?

Q2. 1299cc.

woo hoo 862cc's, it goes like a rocket now, doesnt slow down when going up hills etc. maybe it goes to show how worn out my 1275 was if i think the 862's fast :lol:

+.030" pistons are not a common size for Minis nowadays. It is/was popular with racers because it's just within the 1300cc capacity limit.

sure it's worth it.... my current engine was standard bore when I got it, so I went up +.020" - 1293... it's fine :)

And Isn't 40thou 1312cc? If we bother to be more accurate with 1299cc, 1275cc, 1293cc, shouldn't we atleast give 1310cc it's correct number, to 4 significant figures?
