Hey everyone,

Ive finally got my Honda b16a2 engine to start, i had a few little problems with the distributer not getting spark but solved that by getting a new coil.

Now that it actually starts it seems to rev really hard as soon as it starts which is probably not good for a car that has'nt been started for about 18 monthes.

Any ideas what might be causing it to rev so hard as soon it turns over??? i quickly turn it off when it reached 3000rpm but i think it would have reved harder if i didnt turn off.
The trottle is in its normal position not wide open or anything.....

Any help appreciated.............

Steve :D :D :D :D

excellent news...

I'd assume that if the throttle is shut but it's revving it's nuts off, the computer is confused somewhere and I'd be going over all the connections and making sure ALL THE REQUIRED EARTHS ARE IN PLACE

(that's in caps because you wouldn't believe the wierd sh!t that modern cars do without all their earths set up properly... in some cases, the car's wiring diagram will be 1 page, with 4 pages of diagrams showing all the earths and what needs to earth to what... )

I was thinking of going for the 'normal' 12 inch superlights for my project. But after seeing the fat 13s I'll think I'll go the same route, not those wheels of course, don't wanna copy exactly.
