yes, apparently KC's eyes nearly fell out of his head when he saw 148bhp on the dyno on twin SU's!!! I'm looking forward to running my new 1293, IF I can get an extra 10bhp over the old engine (which GR says it will), I will be rapt.
Kev, have pulled the old engine down and all looks good inside, after 2 years of flogging!! I'm about to send the head back to GR for an update. Steve

No I'm not going from 45 Dellorto to SUs on mine, although Barney is getting a pair of HS4s.
Josh, I do happen to have another Redline 3005 here which could be attached to your carb, maybe.
Cross my palm with some shekels..

No.. the GR 4.5" one I have is the shortest one he makes for Weber/Dellorto, he has nothing shorter. And no it won't fit with a filter unless you cut a Weber box into the firewall.

Bugger.... read the thread from the start to finish.... to find out that the first post is at the bottom of the page..... but of course.... stupid foreign websites.

But hey, gotta be happy with that result.

SO, what is the normal routine in getting a GR cam.... send him a factory one in the post for a regrind, and he'll post it back??

If you log into MiniMania it reverses the post order to `normal'! :?

Yes, if you post Graham a cam, he will grind it and ship it back. An original cam is best, but even if it's had a regrind (not a race one) he can probably do it OK.

The best way for cams is to use the Express Post (plastic) bags, a cam is within the weight limit. I include a self addressed EP bag for very easy return. Works a treat. Steve

I don't have spec on GR's big ass race cam but I think you will find it will blow the socks off most others, and give better midrange too.
Probably more of his cams racing and winning in Oz now than anybody else's.

ps. We'll see how justmini's new one goes... 8)

It always amazes me how sooo many people in the Mini community treat those who write Mini articles or Mini books as Gods.
We here in Oz have so many more knowledgeable Mini experts than one thinks. Remember just because some of our guys don't have the time or inclination to write stuff that doesn't mean that they are any less informed about Minis.
Give me Graham Russell, Henry Draper, Fred Sayers, Matt Read over a Calver or Vizard anyday. No disrespect intended to Keith or David.

It'd be great if we could get the Mini Wizzards of Oz to ghost write some of that hard earnt knowledge to prevent it being lost.

Muckin' fagic I've been told.
Here's the Weber casting I've just finished milling for mine.
No, it won't fit (with filter) without a box.
See the steps in the bores, they are worth 5HP so leave them there!

He has a 1-3/4" single SU one too, supposed to be good but I don't have pics.
