Ok thought this would be better in this post rather than the civic one.
Question 1. (stupid question?) To do a conversion do you need the discs to be off a model that is currently front wheel drive? From looking at various rotors It seems it isnt necessary but prefer to be 100%
Question 2. If above is true has anyone done a conversion from an LC torana approx 8inch disc or even better not sure on the model but part number is DBA493 Dihatsu 7inch (11mm less diam than the cooper S disc)?
Personally would like to keep 10inch wheels without having to grind a caliper up. Any feedback, Ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers
1. Rotors can be off anything that fits. But with 10" wheels and drum swivel hubs there are few choices.
I looked at a few baby Jap cars- Subaru Fiori, little Daihatsu etc etc but the pads are like postage stamps..
A while back I also considered Gemini calipers. They look a bit like S ones but the hose fitting is pointing at the CV if you fit to a Mini..
No way they will fit in 10" wheels. Neither will much else, except Cooper or S ones.
2. Somebody in Bankstown is doing Camira discs, dunno what size wheels though. 10"- I don't think so.
