The dorian timers aren't that deep. Are you sure it wouldn't be higher than the lowest point of the car if you mounted in it's plastic cover (you do have that don't you?) under the floor, with just two or so screw holes through the floor holding it up?

In my race car I mounted mine in the passengers foot well was under the car but it got knocked too may times so mounted it inside but had to cut a slot about 10mm wide and length of dorian for it to work porperly. the slot has to line up with the middle gold terminal as well so slightly off centre.

Excellent information everyone. I've been advised by a few racers in other categories to mount it so its accessible from inside the car. The've seen too many blokes rolling around in the mud in the pits, trying to access their Dorians from undernearth the car.

Inside would be nice, but I've never had any trouble mounting it under the floor behind the passenger seat. I usually attach it and remove it when it's on the trailer - it saves crawling around in the mud. :lol:
The 3 allen key bolts seen in this pic screw into the captive threads on the Dorian box.
