Guys,

need your help again.. I'm in the stage of sorting out the brake lines. I am using the original mini dual circuit brake master. I have metro turbo 8.4 vented discs and have a braided adaptor kit to make the two lines one for each side. After doing a bit of research, I realised my connections are bubble flares ( at the master cylinder anyway)

Have you guys made your own brake lines or did you get someone to do it for you?. I was thinking of buying a reel of 3/16, making the shapes I want and giving it to ABS or someone to put the flares on.

The kits you can get from ebay etc seem a bit dodge

The starlet seems to have double flares on their lines. I'm guessing you cant mix the two around! :( but the screw adaptors from the starlet seem to screw onto the mini master cylinder! do they use the same thread?? can I re-use these?

Any help would be great

Cheers! :D

Starlet fittings may seem to screw into the min master but they will leak, they are slightly smaller. Use the starlet ones on the braided lines and mini ones on the master. I double flared all min and have not had a prob. It is a pain in the arse to do as you do have to be very precise. If you have a brake and clutch mob that can do it at a resonable price let them.

The brake master had bubble flares originally. Would putting double flares work?

Cheers

hey mate, double flares would be best! you can buy a double flaring tool for $700 or you can get some one to do it for you! a crap tool will show small splits in the flare so watch out for that, don't get ripped off either, it should only take them five minutes to do!
