ok ive had a thought im thinking of getting rid of my exhurst system and putting in a new one, for the tip i was suggested a dump pipe.

i know dump pipes are illegal to have fitted but juz wondering because the mini is a 60's model can i get away with it

I have never heard of it referred to as a dump pipe in any thing other than a turbo car.

Its just a wide outlet from a super/turbo charger so there is no backpressure to the rotor/turbine.

In na car it is total overkill

Is it the blow off valve on the inlet side or the pipe that comes out of the external wastgate if fitted and its vent out instead of going back to the exhaust.Thats illegal in New Zealand

I don't think Tiny talking about Turbo's but just the Exhaust..comming out the side in front of the rear wheel rather than the back as per normal
