i was just wondering what a second hand cooper s 1275cc motor would cost to buy complete with gearbox and diff in running order.

can any one help me with a approx price.

Thats a impossible Question to answer really
Put it this way I purchased a Copper S Short block for $1200 some time back.
Consider $3500 and up...but still you have to consider that it may need some work done to it..even if it has reciepts

In my opinion Cooper S motor, in standard form is far better than any other 1275 (appart from MG Metro perhaps, but they are really rare here).

Brickworx has a rebuilt engine/gearbox for about 5.5 grand.

I paid $3250 for mine, rebuilt, and complete motor and gearbox. (But I think I got it cheap, I was at the right place at the right time, and was the only one who knew of the existance of the motor at the mini specialist)
