Hey stu/smac dont get too cheeky, im sure that i can get more form your motor but you need to change the head to get good results.
when we started this morning it was good at 103bhp similar tempreture to the other day but due to humidity being higher it produced a bit more so wew then set about getting a few more form her, we did getting 105.8 but the fueling is not good due to the fuel filter being standard and the fuel line being 1/4inch standard but the main thing is at the very top of the revs you can see it has sucked the float bowl dry and started to rely solely on fuel pump pressure and each pump of the pump richens it back up a fraction.

THe humble single SU does have it limitations and i personally think that not much more would be capapble without extra fuel bowl capaacity and larger fuel lines.

gess just to think this produced 0.3kw less than my race car on the same dyno that is full race with a 45 sidedraught on it, goes to show a properly set up SU will out perform a webber lower down I have the torque curve and horse ower line form the other runs and the Su beats it hands down upto 6500.

You heard it first here and ill be doing a full write up for watto in the next week for future reference in the mini experience and other printed matter.

using different Dynos and comparing hp figures really means nothing. Dynos often vary as much as 10%.
Jai I guess that you are using a Graham Russell inlet manifold?

funny how people just criticise hard work fine ill take my knowledge elsewhere where it is a ppreciated.
hey TK 10% i have no problem with but when the dynoes are the same type both calibrated at the same place within a week i think your 10% maybe a little too australian to get it right.
maybe to prove that its good i must bring it over and show you in person or maybe someof you might get out from behind your keyboards and come here.
yes im using aussie parts and would you believe its in a aussie van.
but thats it i wont say any more otehr than it wasnt built in oz and it was dynoed on a2 different dynoes and got similar power readings meaning I did it 100+HP at the wheels form a single SU carb.
anyone else got proof of there accomplishments????????? or still wanna throw stones..

funny how i read what other people got and i respect that a lot of people employ otehr people to build motors for them great i know graham russel is a very humble genius and a long chat with him yesterday put quite a few things in perspective for me and I will give outt he info i think everyone wants to hear the rest can be obtained thru getting motors thru me (as graham russel does) but the whole truth is this doesnt come over night by itself and it takes alot of hard effort ask keving 86.6bhp, I did 89.9 with the same camset up a few months back on a single SU carb, there is a lot of common knowledge involved in building motors and a lot of common sense.
I used to latter o get the figures i did.

Yes i used a GR manifold but the icing doesnt make a cake rise well or taste better, the camshaft is not GR due to a time factor but the head was tickled by GR some time ago and has now got cracks in it, the springs are south afircan,Gearbox kiwi, block Uk, pistons USA so does this make it my motor or every countries motor as i did was get the best ingredients i could and bakesd a really good cake, most of the motor is 2nd hand parts but the rest is my own time and effort as to how i got it and i still think there is room for more once i make things a bit better for fuel to flow.
