hey everyone,

ive got a 72' clubby, its got a 1293 in it at the moment, but the gear box is getting a bit stuffed...slipping out of gears and really just a pain in the ass. so i was thinking, should i put a whole different engine in it, or should i just get the gear box reconditioned and bore out the engine?

im after a lot more power, some get up and go. i saw a 1.8 vtech and it looked very nice, but what do i need to convert mine to that, how much money am i looking at? or is there a better engine that will give me better performance for less money?

thanks
andrew

budget on at least $10K for an engine transplant, and at least a year of effort...... in both cases, that's pretty much doing everything on the cheap. Not to be taken lightly....
