Personally I wouldn't pay anymore than $5k.

Reasons ?
No disc brakes.
Not a 1275.

Three hundred, but I'll do you a favour and give $500 for it, ok?

Seriously....I think $5-6000 is all you'll get for it, because of the two things Maxi23 said. Restored deluxes in as good or better condition than yours sell for that; it'd want to be something REALLY special to warrant $9000 without discs and nice 1275.

You just never get what you put into them back out of them at sales time...sad but true.

Ive only ever expected to get around $12k-15k for mine. I would probably only take $25k-$30k tho. Which will never happen......

I had a discussion about this with a friend the other day. and dont take this the wrong way, one of the greatest statements i see in Mini ads, is "for sale for 11k, but i have spent over 15k on it'

the problem with this is.... You may CHOOSE to spend alot on your mini because u enjoy it and you love it, hey we have all done it! This however does not in anyway increase the value of your car equally. if you full respray a roundnose, put everything new back on and spend 15k on it, then in reality it will still probalby go for half of that unless there is something special!

You have a very very nice mini there, but due to the afor mentioned reasons I think it would sell on the market at 6k. YES there are some very inflated prices on carsales.com etc for minis, but they will never go for as much as they are asked for.

cheers
chris

I think your asking for a pretty honest price.
I got a 66 Deluxe with basically all the same mods as yours, and thats what I would be asking as well.
Don't listen about all the "S" crap, about 1275's and front disks. If your car is like mine, it probably goes harder thn a standard S and stops just as good.

He wants opinions, you can't just tell him not to listen to anything he doesn't want to hear.

Well i think with the $1000 i spent on my Honda Civic Disc Brake Conversion, i reckon that has pushed me over the $50 000 mark. I stopped counting back in 2003 when i got it on the road. It was $46ish then...

You should see my box full of reciepts......!

I had considered selling mine a while back, but in end its just not worth selling it... Unless i can get a decent amount for it... I mean just in the paint/seats/wheels, theres 10 grand... Prospective buyers sometimes dont realise just how expensive it actually is to restore a car, big or mini...

When people talk to me about doing up a car, i always tell them to buy something thats already been done up... Sure its not your car personally, but its a hell of a lot cheaper.
