The only Two shells i could find in north queensland were a 72 gt or 66 cooper s now which would you prefer me to chop..... and it is only drive line components and suspension that are being modified... the exterior of the car will look like any other 72.

Actually , if you were to truck both of them to Brisbane you would run at a BIG profit and be able to buy whatever shell you wanted .

still throwing ideas around both shells are retrievable, some new parts exist all sitting in a shed in mackay if any body wants to have a look i will log photos on at end of week... sorry to upset the Purists... but if its more use to some one being original then so be it. i just want the ground rush of a bike motor in a mini, i dont really care what shell, it would probably be more benificial to a collector but who is going to travel to mackay... 72 GT and 66 cooper s

Me. I'll even bring a replacement shell with me.

Ahhh , are you thinking of a Z car inspired mini with a bike engine in the back ? Do some checking with the Queensland version of the RTA (whoever licences cars) as I believe motorbike powered cars aren't possible in Australia unless you pay $7,000 or so to have the bike motor certified for it's emissions . Cars and bikes have different emission standards and can't be interchanged . Damn shame really as the potential is phenominal with some of the bike engines available now . Power to weight ratio would be amazing .

in all seriousness, do not listen to anyone (cush etc.) saying "it's only a GT or an S" they're just being stupid

please don't use either of them for a conversion - take JC or someone else up on their offer of coming to you with a shell and taking the other 2 away, or put up pictures and ID details of both of them in the forsales

I'd even drive the 2500k's or whatever to get them - for the right price
