Does anyone know a good website - (or a book) that explains a step by step (idiot proof) way to tune an A series engine? I have read David Vizard and understood all the technical aspects - I am now after a dumbed down version that walks me through the process. Doesn't have to be super or anything - it is just for my girls 73 Clubman.

If you have never built an engine its a good start, if you want to extract the last ounce of power out of an engine then this not the book for you,

But beware, there are quite a few errors in there...
Don't believe the bit he wrote about .001" or .002" crank endfloat being enough... it's not, even for a tame road engine.

Agree with Kev, like any book don't take it the info for gospil..

Haynes or factory mannuals are a better source of techinical data / clearances
