Yuk , but I guess when the original mini van was released it looked just as wierd ...

A little more styling could help there though ..

IMO

This isn't meant as a offend new mini owner/drivers........but I think it actually looks better then the standard shape of the Cooper's and S's. Personal preference I guess.

It's a shame the spy photographer didn't get a snap of the suicide door on the other side. It's tough to make a judgement based on a photo, even more so when the car will have different profile on either side (check out the position of the B pillar on the other side).

As with anything when it comes to the new MINI, for some reasons pictures of "improvements" do little to impress me but that soon changes when I see them in the flesh.

Will reserve judgement till I see it for myself.

One suicide door?
I hope that isn't a production feature. It should be either none or two. :D

I was going to mention that suicide door thingy myself (you beat me to it Harley). It just doesn't look right! It might just be a test car design idea (surely they wouldn't be daft enough to put it on the final model?).

Other than that, I actually think that it looks alright...no honest! :D

Not a fan of the new-new Mini shape to be honest, but I do like the wagon. I want to get one, smash out the rear glass and replace it with panels, and make a panel van. Oh, and if they don't end up releasing a Cooper S version of it, drop the S engine in and work it heavily :)

I dont mind the shape of the new mini. Atleast they didn't stuff it up like the VW. The new VW's are FUGLY. It is good that BMW stayed with the original shape but moderised it.

That is my 2 cents

Looks hot. I want one. But yeh, I'd somehow convert it to panels at the back.
