Take it to Peter at Autotech in Fyshwick (the Alfa place), he has a dyno dynamics dyno and it got like 48hp atw out of my old 1098, it must be a generous dyno :P

Thanks for the tip Anto, sounds good. I was talking to Boosted on AUStarlet and his estimate was 175 given that my turbo will most likely boost to 7000, still I can't tell because everything starts going blurry above 5000rpm!

Sounds like fun 8) At least all four wheels stay on the ground... even if two of them are spinning

Matt,

Well that blew my modest and conservative 34% increase out of the water.

If we say 170 fwhp at redline then thats a MASSIVE 79% increase in power.

Well done champ, well done!!!

Lets get a reading in shootout mode to compare apples with apples (the old reading was done on a Dyno Dynamics in shootout mode wasnt it??)

Bring it on I say!

Cheers,
Tricky

AWSOME news matt, that is unreal power at only 5500rpm, im looking at my sheet here and at around that rpm i was making close to 150hp@wheels, so id say with another 2000rpm 180+ is on the cards....... :D

Well finally got it to the dyno, unfortunately it was a fairly rudimentary dyno so no sheet. I will take it to Jake's Performance in Mitchell (they have a dyno dynamics dyno). Still the news is that on 14 psi it put out 160 atw wheels but unfortunately this was limited to 5500rpm because there were no tiedowns and when it really came on boost it would jump sideways. So I figure 165 - 170 if taken to redline? But either way at 160 I am more than happy and the thing is a monster when boost comes on so...

Cheers

Matt

Well done Matt...sounds very "frisky".....see you at the Show and Shine on the 18th  :D

(PS did you get the email about selling your other turbo :?: )

Thanks very much guys. I think I will drop the boost a notch or two in the interests of engine preservation but I think anything between 170 and 180 (maybe +) is possible. Andy will definitely get it done in shootout mode for as you say the benchmark of 95bhp at from memory 6psi was also on Dynamics dyno in shootout mode, so as you say directly comparable. As for boost onset Dean, about 4000, it starts to hiss about 3000 then gets going at 35 and then by 4 its nuts. How much for 13 x 10's

The other good news is that even though the radiator ain't pretty, it seems to be doing a standup job of keeping the whole thing cool, which was the achilles heal last round.

cheers

Matt

Thanks Hugh, yeah I pretty proud of the headers and I dare say they made a difference. Also mate you'll need to heat up the videocam once again for another run around cotter...

Cheers
