As doc says if the clutch plate and diaphram is set up to check that it is mounted precisely flat then there is no sideways load on the bearing and therefor it is won't wear as quickly as yours has.

I'd look into the way the clutch is setup before throwing a new bearing in. As people have said for it to wear that quick it was 1) stuffed when putting it in or 2) clutch is not setup flat and therefor you have other clutch symptoms such as juddering and slip...

yeah you can do the whole clutch end in the car, but if the oil seal is gone, its most likely the other ends oil seals are gone too. may as well take it out and do the lot - IF that is the problem......
