Howdy

I bought a 72 Clubman and the engine is currently sitting in pieces and I dont know what type it is, so I was wondering seeing as its going to cost me $2-3K to get it back in good nick, how much would a conversion set me back.

I know brakes are going to be $1500-2000 but I was thinking of doing that anyway.

How much would a conversion cost by an engineer in Sydney area?? and who are the good ones.

It all depends on how far you want to go and how much you want to do yourself.

There is a lot of work..

Subframe, Halfcut, Driveshafts, Brakes, Engineering, Wiring, Fuel Lines, Exhaust...

There is a massive range in what people spend by looking on here anywhere from 5000+ i would budget 10k for a fairly basic conversion.

Bloke in Sydney charges something like $4k just for motor in I thought (someone please correct me). Unfortunately, if its a conversion you desire, AND CAN'T DO IT YOURSELF, you are going to be up for bucketloads.

$1500 front cut
$3000 frame (ish), you would be fortunate if this included alternator bracket and gearchanger modification
$500 drivehafts
$ Radiator
$ brake and clutch lines
$ electrical

$1500 - $2000 is too much for brakes. A refurbished set of metro's can be had for $500-$600.

It cost me about 7-8000 for the basic conversion, but that is doing it all yourself and I already had the metros in. :cry:

Nope I think Mr ENforcer is still taking mini's....

He is Approx asking 10k drive in drive out... But That was my guess at a figure... You would have to call him to get a exact... Depends on the hundreds of lil extra's you want..
