Yes looks quite nice IMO... But if I was to buy one the first thing I would change are those guards. As in I would have them painted to match the rest of the car..

i think it depends on the colour..my BRG with white roof looked silly with back arches so colour coded them, my dad has just bought a BRG with black roof and the black arches suit it perfectly.

as for the pathetic remark about the engine my beast pumps out roughly 250bhp which is pretty good for a "shitty" 1600

Im all for the new turbo versions, hoping it will make the supercharged models more collectable in years to come.

Even if i could afford a new mini i wouldnt buy one......theres better ways to spend 50grand....... so if your a nob who has no respect for the old mini, doesnt know how to look after an old car and likes unconventional interiors WHICH ARE NO WHERE NEAR AS PRACTICAL AS AN ORIGINAL mini, you'll love "MAXI COOPERS".
mini's served their purpose since 59...and they are still going strong....
i dont have anything against the new MAXI but its not a mini.... the drivers are the idiots....
i'd rather spend 10 grand on my mini, and spend the other 40 on a trip, or maybe buy some more mini's that dont depreciate $5000 as soon as you drive it out of the dealership.
MAXI drivers must feel like there is no point speaking to mini owners, truth is ............. we are just better

Just because you have an opinion it doesn't mean we have any desire to hear it.

Perhaps one day a decent thread will make it into this forum long term without someone coming along and dissing our cars.

Poki, the above comment is obviously made by a person that still has hormones rapaging thru his system. I agree it would be nice if idiots like that did just tone it down. If you don't like the new mini's don't be so verhment about it. Your opinion isn't going to stop them being made. They are now apart of the mini heritage weather you like it or not. If you don't like them, too bad. But really dissing people's cars on a public forum will quickly make you look like a keyboard warrior.

Cheers
Aaron

there are four minis in my family, 3 old 1 which ive built from a crap heap, one new... so should i sell all my three because we have no respect for them? what a stupid comment! i dont know about you but i can fit more in the new mini then my old one... unfortunatley for you, unless you own bmw at the moment, which i doubt you do.. the mini name lies there, and they will continue to make the cars that they design, they wont go, oh three people are having a sook about them, crap lets not make a car that will make us billions of dollars. come on people, accept change. put it this way, your car is worth more because its the classic shape that isnt made anymore. do you think holden fans winge when a new commo comes out? hell no..

oh and new mini owners arent idiots, i think you are the one that is

end it.!

My mum is in the market for a new car. I suggested a MINI and even checked one out for her.

Their downfall for someone like my mother is that they are VERY expensive for their size. The boot space is amazingly small. It was also too low to the ground for an 'older' person (read over 60).

They look nice, no doubt go like a bat outa hell, but not for my dear mother

Thanks fellas :D

As for the car itself, gotta say I am loving the look of new interior, almost makes me want one. Not so hot on the turbo idea but that is only because i am addicted to the whine of the supercharger.

As in all things, won't judge until I have driven one :D

Here is one for the naysayers.

Can you do this in an old mini and walk away.
