Regular A-series block.......

BMW K1 16 valve twin cam head.....

Where "bimmer" means BMW , and "twinky" means twin cam.

Basically like a KAD twin cam head conversion but alot more complex because it isnt a straight bolt-on upgrade.

Miniman's stuff

yeah, thanks guys :-)

I believe it to be an Aussie First , if not a world first , (ok apart from Greg Temkins small bore 8 Valve job on bike carbs) mine is big bore 16 valve with injection & soon to have the turbo & intercooler with spanky doo daa computer , not the dogs breath thing we`re running her on at the moment :-) But it`s a runner & that`s the main thing hey?????????

I actually couldn`t sleep at all last night,,,not one wink!!!!!!!! after hearing it breath life, all my boys pigged out on pizza & then went home all pretty well as chuffed as i was, (not running it`s best at the moment tho, we have our computer guru comming over on tuesday to tweak the internals with the plug in lap top thing-a-me-jig, so will be muchus sweeterous even betterous then. But it`s a runner & that`s the main thing hey?????????

But after that i went & showered & sat back down the shed just staring at her, drinking copious amounts of Jimmys whilst pondering the next few steps in the equation, & took some time sitting there with a grin as big as Texas & all the other US states put together & then went to bed at about 4.30am, still buzzing, totally awake, (sugar hit in the Jimmys didn`t help i spose :-) ) & just couldn`t sleep,,,got out of bed at about 7.30 & went for a mad rush Down Hill mountain bike fang all day, & racing at Upper brookfield tomorrw

I`m gonna sleep tonight tho :-)

But it`s a runner & that`s the main thing hey???????

did i mention that its a runner??????? ;-)

Oh,,,have only one tiny weeny little oil leak from one of the oil drain hoses from the head but that`s the only dramas (So Far) so i`m pretty dam Happy straight out of the box. (sort of second time round) :-)

so line up line up ,,,who wants how many of the things????????

:-)

Sweet As! Line me up, I've been interested in the idea since I saw that 850 on the net. Very very tempted. Probably stick to 8 valves though they are easier to source. :) My mate is also interested, he pointed to the spare 1275 short motor I have and said I should keep it as a basic for such a project later on... got to build up the other 1275 first so that I actually have a running motor in the car

With the fuel injection, is it all the motronic gear off the bike, or a different computer, or???

Anto,,,don`t worry me matey, i have my hands on exactly 20,,,yes you heard it 20 8 valve bimmer heads, i still have a few 16 valve heads, but i may very well restrict the 16 valve heads for naturally aspirted donks & use the 8 valve ones for the turbo conversions

:-)

& Harley,,, Don`t you worry,,,the turbo charged 4.7 litre alloy V8 mini isn`t far off being a runner now too, very very close in fact!!! would you like an easy 500+HP mini ?????

Then i`ll be onto finishing up the twin Yamy R1 motorbike engined 4x4 mini, whew!!! it`s tiring just thinkin about all this sh!t :-) let alone doin it :-)

Anyone want to buy my Truck???

96 model, Mitsubishi canter, duel cab , 7 seater ,4x4 , 4cyl , 4 litre ,diesel , motorhome , carrys a mini in the back , electric winch & allloy ramps,,,but also has 80l-fridge/freezer, 4 burner stove/grille/oven, 200 litres water tanks(under) 2 big mother gas bottles (under), hot water shower, double bed etc etc etc???? Can drive around Aust as many times as you like, perfect for Targa Tassy Rally/Classic Adelaide etc

For sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will sell it to the person with the money :-)

Matt.
Now you have your twink on the go, we have a twink that needs to go.

He is a pedigree red kelplie with white twinkle toes. Very well bred to old blood line working kelpie. he was born three three years ago during the height of the drought and we were too busy carting feed and water to our sheep to be bothered about selling a 6-10 week old kelpie pup.

That window of opportunity came and went and we said that we would train up Twink at a year old and sell him as a started dog. Guess what !!!!!! We are stil in a drought, and twink is a good natured dog who is command trained but not working trained and desparately wants a mate.

A twink for a twink is a good mate and a good omen. Comes with pedigree and is vaccinated. You can pick up on your way to Bathurst or i will deliver him to Bathurst. Its an hour and a bit from here.

We are selling here and building elsewhere - can't take all the dogs with us and Twink is not on the removal list. A good dog Matt.

In that case put me down for 2x 16 valve heads then  I've heard that some bloke in the US turbocharged his K100RS, thought that would be a nice project to take on as well
