I plan to hopefully drop the subframe out 2morrow.............so how do i de-pressurise the hydro,a dn anything else to watch out for :)

DON'T UNSCREW THE VALVES! There's around 300 PSI in there....

Just push the valve in with the valve cap, like letting down a tyre.. and watch it don't get U in the eye.. :wink:

I let it out on the driveway, & hose it away...

<EDIT> WHY let it all down, just to get the motor out?? Lift it out the top... much easier on a hydro!

Anonymous moderation means the agro that is built up towards the mods isn't aimed at an individual (fewer "Makk" attacks). Less stress for mods means less moderator "retirements".

i was going to drop the subframes out, so i could totally prepare the shell for painting etc as well.........

but thanks for the advice on depressurising the hydro......i might even just lift the engine out at this stage:D

well if you are doing the bodiw sure do it but if it is just to do work on the motor it would be better to leave it in and i'm sure there are people out there with hydro pumps

I got a home made pump, can pump up if you want- but I'll say again- it's easier to lift motor out the top. Unless the steering rack or something else needs doing, I'd leave the subby in. :wink:
