Welcome.

There aren't many blokes in Aus that have done the Vtec (by comparison to other conversions anyway). The power that is available from any Vtec motor is more than enough for a mini, irrespective of which derivitive of vtec you choose.

If you have your heart set on the Vtec try http://www.16vminiclub.com. There is a wealth of info available there.

Vtec's are big in the USA and England. Their's a few people who have got interested. Inazuma_x is one of these people but I don't think their's a completed, engineered, registered on in OZ yet

their's lots of info on 16Vmini.com about the Vtec's most people are going with the BA16's. a 1.6 is getting too big according to Dotars for engineering and Rego. The rules over here are quite tight and people are going for the smaller possibly turbo motors mainly.

price I would say about 15K to get it in and back on the road. BYO MINI and 1/2 cut honda. if you in Sydney talk to Mr. Enforcer and look overseas The kit's would not be suitable for rego inAustralia without some sort of modifacation probably as our restriction's are quite tight
