i found these 12" wheels for atv's im thinking about getting them and machining up some custom hub adapters and buying some road tyres to suit. can some one give me some feedback on this idea?

Just check what weight they are rated for , might be strong for a 200 Kg ATV but not for a 500Kg road car with the extra forces of holding it onto the road with fast cornering and sticky rubber ..... They do look great though , are these similar to the ones that have been on the Aust ebay lately being sold as Mini mags ?

The tyres would be perfect for a Moke :lol: :lol:

There are tons of ATV and Buggy rims that have the same kinda sizes and ratings..... but I am almost certain it would be illegal to fit them to a road car. All "LEGAL" wheels must comply to Australian Standards. If you crashed a car that was rolling on ATV wheels, your insurance would be void because the ATV wheels have not been tested or approved for the relevant Australian Standard.

o well insurance will be void anyway, i jst got an eaton m45 blower off a late model mini on ebay. im not sure about the wheels yet, im having trouble finding street tyres wide enough to fit.
