Hey Nav....yeah not bad over that way also over the back of Yass towards Jindy ...but....a real test for how much grunt a car has (IMHO) is the Clyde Mountain (or Kangaroo Valley to a lesser extent)....there are inclines that challenge the best.

So Matt.....go for a long run to the coast for Fish and Chips and let us know how she handles the Clyde  :D

After a spirited drive down to batemans bay and back the driveshaft popped out of the uni as i was turning up my driveway, thankfully not halfway up or down the mountain

Yeah guys thanks again. Yeah I agree with the Clyde if you can accelerate going up there, then you can accelerate up anything. My main problem is the cooling. Fine in Canberra but even going up Red Hill out of fyshwick she starts to rise.

And Dean yeah a Dyno day is definitely on the cards as is a run sometime. Still these are all things I can do at my leisure now that it is registered.

The only downside to it all is that the thing leaks fumes quite badly (did it with the 1275 as well). So have to sort that out before any long runs as it makes me head numb!

Cheers

Matt

Sweet, you'll have to take me for a ride some day :) Maybe sort out your cooling before having a dyno day...

Warren also got his van registered - he got a stat dec from the previous owner stating that he had owned it for 12 years unrego'd, now he has finally got it registered. Even that was bending the rules though. Turns out that due to the nationwide rego database they have introduced, if you buy a car, pre VIN, and don't have any record of it being registered, and their database does not have a reference to the car, then it CAN NOT be registered. FYI :) So if you pick up a 1920s Chev from a paddock and spend $$$ restoring it, and they can't find a reference to it since it has been in a paddock since the second world war, then bad luck. That Sucks.

Hopefully it wont last long due to public backlash ;)
Anto.

I started reading this thread from the first page and thought..."OH NO!! NOT AGAIN!"

Then I looked at the date......

Congratulations Minstar! I can only imagine the feeling you have right now. I've been following your progress from day one it seems, so good to see you reach such an important level of completion.
