Metro motor (until replaced by K Series) was same as A+ motor used in Rover mini. Verto clutch and length of gear change rods are only differences I know of.
I run an MG Metro motor in my Moke, converted to standard clutch (not required, just wanted to).

So, call Steve at Brickworx or anyone else who imports engines from Japan or the UK.

I got mine in 1997 from Northern Mini Spares in Melbourne but I belive they've changed ownsership so I can't say whether they still do regular container-filling trips there.

talking to my local mini mechanic "Minicraft" for all u WA people. and he said he could get me in a stock Mini Metro engine for around 1000-1100. is this a good price. thats all the details i can give for it so i ahve no idea what dsort of condition etc. also, what is the differnce between the Metro and the Metro turbo, other than the turbo of course. as its going to be a turbo build up is it better to find a turbo model?
i really want to start this build up, but finding an engine is crazy. so pleez, anyone with info let me know.
cheers
