I will be using 13x7's in a charcoal colour, picked them up from the tyre shop about 1 month ago, their worth a drool over. the 4efte that I picked up had a LSD, and looks like it's had all options ticked on sale, pranged pretty smallish at only 37,000 K's. looks really nice. apparently a font mount and a nice exhause you can be making 110kw that's not bad in the old scale (150ish HP)

most guys are going metro turbo brakes, but I will be trying something a little bigger. maybe a Honda Accord, as they fit under 13's no problem.

the flip front is for room, I know the round noses are smaller, but I like them more.

you'd want to be jelous, ACT is cold enough for a turbo to be so much more effective the whole year round, hot humid air doesn't compress as well as cold air, it's more dense and more potent when using boost. I wish you the best with your conversion

the wheels cost 1/2 as much as my motor $1580, doesn't leave much change in my wallet.

thanks to everyone about their 2 cent's worth on a flip front. I will consider my options, still think if I can do a nice mould, that will be the ticket, as the stuff in the UK is going to burst the bank just in freight to get here.

from what I can tell their's no-one in Australia with a mould wort anything, all the places I have rung, have basically said yes but their's no mould for it anymore so it'll cost a bit$$

will keep it in mind, and invest in one soon, might even use the panels I have on mine even thoughh they need a bit of bog it may just be the only option worth it.

My argument would be: why have all that power then waste it by trying to get it all onto the ground thru the bloody FRONT wheels????? Mid mount the engine (like an MR2) so that you can: 1) get the weight distribution as even as possible for better cornering, and 2) increase your initial traction capability by driving the rear wheels.

Either that or just build up a high horsepower 4WD setup

There was a chap who put ford cosworth running gear into a mini, 4wd 400bhp, looked a heap but went like crap off a shovel...

Recon a mid engined mini using a millington 2.4 300bhp + n/a 6 speed sequential box, semi spaceframe, but around 3 inches out the lower body and 2 inches out the pillars roof carbon bodywork, double wishbone suspension all round should just about do the job... Might have to run on 13's though.
