If someone would be so kind as to provide a measurement for me? I need a measurement from.... Passenger side front subframe mounting point - to most external point of the 4efte mounted gearbox/gearbox mount.

I need to see if I have enough room. If you give me a dimension that is larger than what I have measured between the two reds lines, I'm in the crap. if not, I will persist.

i have nfi about that at this stage...but i do know FOR A FACT (i meticulously plotted all exterior dimensions of the 4efte) that it is 800mm from the outside of the timingbelt cover to the end of the gearbox...i figure if about 850mm will fit between yer bar things on yer subframe it should be fine...surely the offset left or right shouldnt make ANY difference...as long as it fits in the subframe

Stripey I will have a look tonight. Here's a pic of my part of the subframe if it helps. Also like the design very cool. Would loved to do the same, how did you do the pipe bending that was the impediment for me. Anyway I'll try and get back to you tonight.

you can buy pretty beefy pipe-benders from tradetools direct up here...for like $200...not sure how good they are...but by the looks of things they take pretty hefty pipes...dont do RHS unfortunately...as thats what i am going for mine...cant be buggered fiddling with the CHS stuff most of you guys have gone with...

The (standard) mount and the outside edge of the gearbox are on the same axis/line in think..... Well, I believe the mount does not protrude any further toward the passenger side than the gearbox does.

I believe they are press bent. Possibly heated then bent. Not sure, they came from an Ausmini member who has them bent up for his Suzi Gti frames.

its not exactly the same from memory...the mount on mine was about 3-4mm further out than the end of the gearbox...but yeah...pretty close

Well the position i have the motor in for the frames im making the distance from the hole to the end of the mount is 100mm.

Mine is about 65mm to the edge of the gearbox. I still had to modify the side of my tower for the gearlinkage. You will also find the drives side will play a part when you take into account the alternator and belts.

You will find all our engine positions will vary slightly.
