forgive my ignorance...
did any roundnose minis origionally come out with stripes? sorta like cobra style, not pin stripes...?

Not standard , some later coopers (UK) may have had an option for the bonnet stripes but not racing stripes over the top . They were a reasonably common thing for a while on racing mini's though and street mini's , they look good .

i just bought a book on the original mini's of the 60's and seventys, there definatley was a reference to originals comeing out with stripes, :? i think from memory it was an option in a certain period in a certain place,
will check it out 2nite and get back to you.
