Thanks guys...

here are the pics from the weekend...

Dam thing aint easy to get out... so only half way...

Everything you want to get out... requires 10 other things taken out first... Before you can reach the bolt you need...

Thanks again to Simon for lending me his Garage & Tools...

Man that's excellent news. Wouldn't be that far behind except for problems coming from left field like the car going into limp mode! That's one less headache mate. Well done.

A Big Thanks to Simon again..

Then engine is all but out... Smiles... Never worked on anything quite as tight...

I think I have to go buy a set of spanners & chop them all in half... Bloody Ridiculous...

Hehe only one bolt holding the engine in.. which is still a puzzle on how to undo..

But the engine will be out tonight... Then will be taking the engine up to MRC Preformance Tomoz...

Smiles

Dean,

Tight, you should try a round nose.

Top stuff that you got all the papers sorted. It'll be good to see it sorted and running.

Who did you use for your engineer?

Dan, i was just over there and it could pass for a roundy with the amount of room that's in there. You don't realise how much extra stuff is on that beast until you go to take it out

The "one bolt is out" but now the gear linkage is hitting the subframe when we drop it. He should get it out tonight 8)

I already have some of them - from working on Holden red manifolds
but today I went & bought a set of those ratchet ring spanners 8)
The local mini mechanic swears by them!

Yes they are handy, I have a Gearwrench set. 8)
If buying, Kinchrome makes some that are shorter than most.

MiniMad,

Dean has everything but the kitchen sink in his engine bay, i think any starlet mini (and suzie) are tight.

I found i can't take my motor in and out without removing the gearlinkage pivot arm side Dean may have the same problem given all the stuff in the car.

Motor is out.. YAY.. yeah gear linkage is out....

I cant imagine working this in a roundie. I have new respect for all you roundie people..

Or maybe I should send the looney bin after you all,,,,

Drop engine off tomoz... will update with pics soon...

those spanners are fantastic... But unfortunatly most my bolts are metric... & Simons Ratchable spanners are Imperial...
