Hi all, I'm looking for some direction with my 1100 motor. As far as i know its stock, but it's getting rebuilt very soon and i'm looking for more power (who woulda thought?) I want to build a top end focused motor and use a Toyota SC12 supercharger to help out down low. It will essentially be blueprinted. Would this work?

1. What CR should I aim for?
2. How far can i bore out an 1100 block?
3. What pistons would be suitable?
4. Should I perform any other internal mods while im there?
5.Whats a good cam to use?
6. In regards to the cylinder head, I'm looking at a fair bit of port work, should i DIY or let GR do it? Will i really see a great deal of difference?

Thanks all

Going for that kind of power, you really want a strong bottom end to cope with it.

1.CR depends on the amount of boost you want to run..no more than 8:1 for 4-6psi

2. You can bore an 1100 +20 +30(Hypatec Pistons) +40 +60 ..and GR has some Flat top +80's i still believe, but not suitable for FI..You really only want to go the next size available so as to keep some meat between the bores, and you're not going to get a huuge increase going to the max bore, and the block is then useless after you wear the bore at that size without getting it resleeved.

3. You want something dished, might need to get some modified to suit the compression you want..

4. Balance everything, New ARP main bearing/rod bolts, lighten the flywheel if you like, new grey dot clutch..

5. GR makes an RE-13T give him a call and discuss your needs when you get around to it. You'll need your current cam to regrind..

6. While your there get GR to do it IMO
