XY Falcon bonnet is a hell of a lot bigger than a mini's

I think the proportions being out of whack would make it look... well, whack.

leaning more toward water2air at the moment...all depends on how much space i have left once the turbs is mounted over the gearbox :P

I believe he is talking about a Falcon XY GTHO Shaker :D

The intake is seperate from the hood and therefore shakes around with the engine..

yeah that's what i mean...i reckon it'd be cool...not one from a pre-existing car coz that obviously wouldnt fit...or would look crap...but one made for the mini...so when ya crank up the revs the little scoop rocks over on its side...looks bad-ass :P but then that might just be me :P

It does that in the Falcon because the of the orientation of the crankshaft, being a north-south engine. In the Mini, being east-west, the scoop would rock back & forward, rather than side to side.

Then again, it might just move all over the place & you couldn't really tell  OR just solid mount it  and it wont move for shiat!!!

when u crank the revs on a starlet engine, the scoop will move backwards, but only under load......reving on the spot wont do much at all.....

the shaker is re made in fibreglass and u can buy for 300 , but original alloy ones fetch over 1200 these days as they are like cooper S disc brakes, Rare. But the new triton has a hot lookn scoop on the diesel utes, or the new hilux diesel one would do the trick. dont put a legend icon on a mini u will be laughed out of australia.
