Got my rx7 top mount intercooler today. All blinged up. Will do wonders for keeping intake temps down me thinks.

Toyota - 180 * 190 * 60

RX7 - 170 * 270 * 60

My understanding is the rx7 has a much more efficeint core.

Pics, hmm. Must get me a digi cam. I've 'borrowed' this pic.

P.s. How are you going Marc? Have you made any progress? If you need a hand with anything just give me a buzz.

OK, dragging one up from the dead here but here are the comparison pics of the Rx7 and GT top mount coolers.

RX7 is the one on the bottom

The bulk on the bottom of the RX7 cooler makes it appear thicker. This 'shield' onb the underside of it can easily be removed to minimise space issues. Essentially RX7 core is the same size as the whole GT item (inclusive of tanks).

Interesting to see the sheild on the bottom of the RX one! How would the air get throgh the intercooler to effectively cool the core?? Is there enough space for the air to pass through the underside?

I think they are working on the principal that the air is being 'forced' through the cooler by the RX7 bonnett scoop. The heat shield might be a good idea but it has to go to be able to fit on top in the morris
