Another question - where can I get the light bulbs and bulb holders for smiths gauges? are there generic equivalents in Jaycar etc?

If i'm putting a different (used) rev counter does it have to be calibrated etc?

Cheers.

Best place to get gauge bulb holders is at a wrecker- these were common in many British cars.
Some servos have the bulbs in stock still.

As long as the tacho is out of a 4cylinder car it will be OK. I use a 9,000 rpm one from a Fiat 124BC coupe. It has much better needle damping than all the Smiths ones..

Ok I'll try the wreckers and might also try to find something similar at Jaycar.

Thanks.,
